Concert: Frontier Ruckus

Northern Nights: Frontier Ruckus - Midwestern American
"Their songs are full of rich, rural
details: frozen lakes, swaying trees,
highway lights glowing in the deep
night. Add to the mix baleful brass
and trembling percussion, and you've
got the perfect recipe for Gothic
Americana."
-Rolling Stone

Since 1989, the Performing Arts Series has brought world class entertainment
and performance groups to NMU and the Marquette community. In 2007, the
name of the series was changed to the International Performing Arts Series
with a focus on world music performers. After much discussion and study,
the series has been given a new name, Northern Nights. We feel this name
will attract the attention of a greater audience and also reflect a shift
away from strictly international performers.
